Australian Open : Australian Open 2023 will take place at Melbourne Park, from 16–29 January 2023. It will be the 111th edition of the Australian Open, the 55th in the Open Era, and also the first Grand Slam of the year. The tournament comprises of events for professional players in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Junior and wheelchair players will compete in singles and doubles tournaments.
World number 1 Carlos Alcaraz will miss the 2023 Australian Open after picking a right muscle injury during pre-season training.
Spain’s Rafael Nadal and Australia’s Ashleigh Barty are the defending champions in Men’s singles and Women’s singles, respectively. Barty chose not to defend her title after she retired from the sport in March 2022. Nadal will be looking for his third Australian Open title.
