Chamika Karuratne sealed Sri Lanka’s old wounds with a perfect celebration after the Islanders sealed a record-breaking win on Thursday. With the place in the Super 4s at stake, Sri Lanka put on a performance of the highest order sealing a last-over win, with the likes of Chamika Karunaratne and Asitha Fernando scoring crucial boundaries late in the game.
The win knocked Bangladesh out of the Asia Cuop, much to the celebration of the Sri Lankans with a new rivalry brewing among the two nations. Karunaratne, one of the heroes of the match, brought out the perfect response for their neighbours, with a ‘naagin dance’ celebration in front of the camera.
