In a video uploaded on Twitter, Rohit emphasized on the fact that the young players need to have a good mindset especially at their starting phase of cricketing career. The Indian skipper also told the young Zimbabwean players to have a positive mindset at the current age as it will set a tone for their future.

With back-to-back losses in major tournaments, Rohit captaincy was questioned by cricket experts and pundits across the cricketing globe. However, the main problem raised after team India lost an ODI series against a less competent Bangladesh side recently. Despite his failures, the former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif has backed Rohit as he stated that the current Indian skipper needs to be given more chances as a captain in the international arena.

“Rohit has done well since he became the captain. Apart from the big events where he failed in the World Cup and the Asia Cup, that’s why people are not happy. It was the same thing when Virat was the captain, Rohit is a good captain. It’s still very early days for us to judge him as a captain. We have to wait and watch him in the upcoming tournaments. Pressure is definitely on him because when he became captain, he was expected to win an ICC trophy, which he has failed to do,” said Kaif in recently conducted interview.
