The sports of PUBG Mobile is as unpredictable as it can get, even when there are champion teams like Bigetron Esports or Faze Clan is involved. It came as a shock to every PUBG Mobile esports fan out there when team BTR, the Indonesian prodigies failed to qualify for the Super Weekend 1 of PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021. This leaves BTR and FaZe clan only two more chances as they were not able to qualify for the first one. As only the Super Weekend points will be counted for the teams’ ticket to the PMGC Finals, BTR and FaZe must come back strong in the following league stage matches from next week. But what lead team BTR to such fate? No one can question their skills in the battle royale survival nor their game sense. However, according to Luxxy, the sniper of the team, the reason behind it is mostly strategic.
Why BTR failed to qualify in the Super Weekend 1 of PMGC East?
Talking about the rollercoaster performance of his team, Luxxy shared that the main problem the team is facing currently is with their rotations. The team is facing quite resistance from other top contenders in the lobby while trying to claim ground in the safe zone. “Actually our problem is just the drop spot, we are just confused where to go down” says Luxxy which is in-turn is taking its toll on their performance through the rest of the match.

When asked about if there will be any necessary changes to its drop plans, the support player of the team seems confident about implementing certain changes in their positioning.

Luxxy was further asked about their preference of Northern rotation Erangel. The team seemed quite in shape while entering the zone from the south. For example, the team entered the zone comfortably in the first Erangel match, however, later it forced its rotation towards the north and lurked around the outskirts of Georgopool. This often turned out as not a great decision from the team.
“It’s actually a decision of the team as a whole. We, as a unit, like to discuss where to proceed and what places to avoid according to the circle shifts. The reason being the northern parts of the Erangel mostly stays quiet in competitive matches. At least it remains so according to our experience in PMPL SEA” says Luxxy. Upon asked if uHigh, the fragger of the team will be put down in the following weeks, Luxxy shared that the team would like to be patient with him and give him some room and time to adjust to the changing dynamics of the competition to perform even better and utilize his skills properly.
