Mumbai Indians Squad: IPL 2023 – Arunkumar Jagadeesh, a dominant player on the domestic circuit in the 1990s and 2000s, has been appointed as the assistant batting coach of five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians. He will work alongside Kieron Pollard, who was appointed as the team’s batting coach in November after he was released before the auction. Arunkumar played for Karnataka in the Indian domestic circuit for 16 years, from 1993 to 2008, as a right-handed opening batter with experience in over 100 first-class matches. After retiring, he began coaching and served as the batting coach for the Karnataka team during the 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons as they won back-to-back titles in the Ranji Trophy, the Irani Cup, and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Along with stints in the IPL, he served as the head coach of Puducherry for the 2019–20 season, and from 2020 as the head coach of the USA national cricket team.

IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians Akash Ambani were ecstatic when they signed Australian all-rounder Cameron Green. The Australian player, who was acquired for the staggering sum of Rs 17.5 crore, will join the Mumbai Indians for the 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023).  

The likes of Jhye Richardson, experienced spinner Piyush Chawla, Duan Jansen, Shams Mulani, Nehal Vadhera, and Vishnu Vinod were also signed by Mumbai at their base prices. With players like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Jofra Archer already on the roster, Green’s addition makes it even stronger. Last year, MI had a disappointing year, finishing last in the standings.
