Manchester United READY to spend HEFTY CASH on Chelsea midfielder, plans £50m bid

With an offer of £50 million on the table, negotiations between the two clubs are likely to intensify in the coming weeks.

Premier League: Manchester United has made up their mind on getting Chelsea midfielder, Mason Mount on board this summer and they are ready to pay a hefty amount to get it done. According to reports, The Red Devils are preparing a £50 million bid to sign Mount this month.

A report in Telegraph Sport has claimed that negotiations between Manchester United and Chelsea regarding Mason Mount have progressed positively since the Premier League meeting on May 25. United is not concerned about the personal terms and believes that an offer of £50 million represents a fair price for the England international, especially considering his contract only has one year remaining.

The midfielder, however, has been tight-lipped about the potential move. Mount was asked about the transfer at the Spanish Formula One Grand Prix in Barcelona but he avoided giving any statement.

“I’m here to simply enjoy this race today. It’s an amazing day and I can’t wait to watch it”, Mount said.

David de Gea to stay at Old Trafford

Despite a below-par performance in FA Cup final which saw Red Devils lose to rivals Manchester City, goalkeeper David de Gea is set to be offered a contract extension. Reports have claimed that there are no plans within the club to invest heavily in a goalkeeper, and it is expected that a new deal for David De Gea will be announced imminently. The terms have already been agreed with the 32-year-old Spanish goalkeeper.
