- Even though KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock both were sublime, it was their bowling that let them down.
- Avesh Khan, Jason Holder, K Gowtham and Marcus Stoinis were all expensive.
- At the Eden Eden Gardens, with shorter boundaries the situation could be dire for LSG.
- RCB boast the likes of Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell apart from Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed who will be eager to perform well after entering Playoffs.
- Every loose ball will be punished.
- Furthermore, with the threat of rain, LSG will have to be economical if the DLS method comes into play.

The good news for Lucknow Super Giants is Quinton de Kock’s return to form. The former South African captain smashed records scoring unbeaten 140 against KKR.
At No 3, Deepak Hooda has done excellent in the last few games and will retain the spot. Evin Lewis is likely to play at No 4 with Manan Vohra at No 5. Krunal Pandya will be used as a power-hitter at No 6 with Marcus Stoinis at No 7 depending on situation.
In the bowling department, Dushmantha Chameera could have been a good addition with the Eden Gardens pitch conducive to bounce. But that will mean, benching Evin Lewis and LSG will like to have the batting depth with frequent middle-order collapse.
