PKL Auction: Vishal Bharadwaj goes to Delhi, Rahul Chaudhari returns to Jaipur

Pawan Sehrawat broke the record with a highest bid amount of 2.6 crores, Mohammadreza Shadloui became the most expensive foreign players as he was picked up for 2.35 crores by Puneri Paltan.

Pro Kabaddi LIVE: The second day of the Pro Kabaddi League 2023 auction is underway. Vishal Bahradwaj and Rahul Chaudhari who went unsold earlier in the auction have been finally picked up. Vishal Bharadwaj will play for Dabang Delhi. While Rahul Chaudhari is set to return to Jaipur Pink Panthers. Meanwhile, Rohit Kumar and Monu Goyat and defenders Amit Hooda, Vishal Mane, Surender Nada have all gone unsold.

On Monday, Pawan Sehrawat became the most expensive buy yet again in the Pro Kabaddi League. The Indian captain broke his own record as he was bought for a never-seen-before 2.60 crores by Telugu Titans in the PKL Auction. Mohammadreza Shadloui of Iran became the most expensive foreign buy as he was bagged by Puneri Paltan for 2.35 crores.

On the other hand, Fazel Atrachali went to Gujarat Giants for 1.60 Cr. Mohammad Nabhibhaksh has also been picked up by the Gujarat Giants. The auction will continue on Tuesday, 10th October as more players are set to go under the hammer.

A total of 84 players have been retained by the teams ahead of the PKL Auction. Some of the star-retained players were PKL legend Pardeep Narwal by U.P. Yoddhas. Puneri Paltan retained its star young player Aslam Mustafa Inamdar. Defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers retained Arjun Deshwal, who won the Most Valuable Player award winner in Vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9.

Pro Kabaddi Auction – Players Base Price

The players will be further subdivided as ‘All-Rounders’, ‘Defenders’, and ‘Raiders’ within each category. While players in Category A and B have gone under the hammer. Day 2 will witness the bidding for players in the Category C and D.

  • Category A – INR 30 lakh
  • Category B – INR 20 lakh
  • Category C – INR 13 lakh
  • Category D – INR 9 lakh

Pro Kabaddi 2023: Remaining Purse

The total purse money for each team has been increased to 5 crores in this season. Last year, the teams had a total amount of 4.4 crores. Bengal Warriors have the most money going into the auction with 4.2 crores. They have 8 players in the squad at the moment for Vivo Pro Kabaddi.
