PKL 2021: Telugu Titans’ Siddharth Desai confident of winning maiden Pro Kabaddi title for his team – Telugu Titans star raider Siddharth Desai, who was bought by the franchise at a whopping price of ₹1.30 cr in the Pro Kabaddi League 2021 auction which took place in the month of August, is confident of winning the maiden title in PKL 2021. Desai was the previous season’s most expensive buy at the auctions. U.P. Yoddha were all set to snap up the ‘Baahubali’ but Telugu Titans swooped in at the last minute with their Final Bid Match (FBM) card to retain him in the team.

Pro Kabaddi League’s official Twitter handle posted a video of Siddharth Desai with the caption, “Baahubali is ready to roar and HOW Can Siddharth Desai and Co. guide @Telugu_Titans to their first PKL title?.”
With 221 points in his debut season, Siddharth Desai took the kabaddi world by storm. And in the following year, Pro Kabaddi Season 7 witnessed the arrival of his elder brother, Suraj Desai. In his first-ever PKL encounter, Suraj Desai went on to break Siddharth’s record for most raid points on debut with 18 points to his name.
“I am very happy that I will be playing again for Telugu Titans again this season. I would urge the fans to keep supporting us the way they did in the last season. And we will definately try to win PKL 8. Sandeep Kandola, Surender Singh and well-experienced player Rohit Kumar are with us this season. Under his guidance, we will aim to go all the way and lift the PKL trophy,” Siddharth Desai said in the video.
Siddharth Desai had a tremendous debut season with U Mumba in PKL Season 6 and went on to break multiple raiding records. With his muscular build and brute force, he earned his moniker of the ‘Baahubali’. Now it will be interesting to see if he can manage to win the first-ever PKL title for Telugu Titans.
