Archer was brought by MI for a whopping amount of INR 8 crores, but his participation remains in doubt due to recurring elbow issues.
However, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are ready to revisit their decision and may allow Archer to play a few IPL games.

Right from the beginning, the ECB was insistent that Archer can’t join IPL this season. The same information was circulated among all ten franchises by the IPL governing committee.
Now The Daily Telegraph has reported that this subject could be revisited next month. The paper reports that ECB will not rush Archer this year for the test matches but a T20 return is a possibility. The report further claims that Archer could feature in The Hundred & may be allowed to play a few games in IPL.

‘Right now, I can do everything but it’s small steps,’ he said. ‘I have no idea when I will be playing matches, I am just trying to build up and it’s all about what I can tolerate at any given time,” Archer said.
