Mumbai Indians announced this signing by saying “The 21-year-old, talented middle-order batter, recently debuted for the national South African A Squad against Zimbabwe. Tristan has had a very promising domestic season and played an important role for his team in the recently concluded T20 domestic league. Tristan will join the MI squad for the rest of the season.”

21-year old, Tristan Stubbs is a wicket-keeper and has played 17 T20s and scored 506 runs, scoring three half-centuries at a strike rate of 157.14. The middle-order batter recently debuted for the South African A team against Zimbabwe. Tristan has had a very promising domestic season and played an important role for his team in the recently concluded T20 domestic league.
Tristan will join the MI squad for the rest of the season. Mumbai are off to a forgettable start in the 15th edition having won just one out of their nine matches. Mumbai will now be hoping for a better end to the season as they try to close out on high with still five games of the season to go. Mumbai Indians will take on GT in their next encounter on May 6, Friday.
