Shardul Thakur: Shardul Thakur has been a regular starter for the Indian National team and has consistently performed in the IPL. His best stint came in IPL 2021 where he picked 21 wickets in 16 innings with an average of 25.09. The rest of the 9 teams would be desperate to buy the 30-year-old bowler to bolster their bowling attack and thus it could prove to be tough for MS Dhoni to retain Thakur.

Josh Hazlewood: Despite playing few games in comparison to others in last year’s IPL, the 31-year-old pacer picked 11 wickets in just 9 innings with a good average of 26.63. MS Dhoni and CSK would want to acquire the services of this speedster and would try their best to restrict other teams to buy this player.

CSK and MS Dhoni will try their best to retain Lungi Ngidi in the IPL 2022 Mega Auctions

Lungi Ngidi: The 25-year-old South African pace bowler is one of the best of his generation. Though he played just 3 games in IPL 2021 he picked 5 wickets with an average of 25.00, MS Dhoni knows the importance of a player of Ngidi’s quality. And thus he would not want to lose one of his team’s best bowling firepowers to other teams and would try his best to retain the player in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.
