Coming to bat at no. 3 he remained not out and scored 83 out of just 53 balls. An innings that consisted of 8 foys and 3 sixes, du Plessis’s innings was hugely responsible for the Comilla Victorians putting up a huge target against the Chattogram Challengers.
In the previous edition of the IPL, i.e in IPL 2021, du Plessis played brilliantly for the Chennai Super Kings. In just 16 innings he managed to score 633 runs with a high average of 45.21. Though he was not retained by CSK ahead of the mega auction, MS Dhoni and Co. will be desperate to retain him from the snatches of the other 9 IPL franchise teams.
