Sharing the video, the 41-year old wrote, “Happy to announce my new Avatar…..Atharva. #GraphicNovel #AtharvaTheOrigin”. The minute-long video features Dhoni in an animated avatar donning the look of a warrior with a long blonde hair. He has a weapon in his hand and is seen slaying the demons around him. Having seen the man play for nearly two decades in the cricket field. This new avatar of him in a battlefield has created excitement amongst his fans.
Touted to be a new age graphic novel, Atharva: The Origin is an adaptation of debutant author Ramesh Thamilmani’s unpublished book on the same name. The upcoming series is backed by Dhoni Entertainment, a company that was founded by MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi in 2019.

Dhoni was in Chennai last week to prepare for the upcoming IPL mega auction, that is scheduled to take place on 12th and 13th February in Bengaluru. But now the CSK captain is back in his hometown Ranchi. Earlier today he was seen enjoying couple of sets of tennis.

According to CSK team management, Dhoni is likely to be present at the auction but the final decision will be taken by the man himself closer to the date of auctions.
“He is likely to be present for the auction. But it is his call and a call will be made close to the auction,” a CSK team management member told InsideSport.
