Hitting back at the BCCI, Mishra the board must be clear with its communication. Follow India vs South Africa

“Obviously, it hurts when you play for the country. I don’t want to comment further on this because this is not the first time it has happened. When a player gives so much to the country, works so hard, you should at least inform him. If he is not performing, probably, hearing that he will prepare himself and work hard. He should know what is wrong with him and how he can change that. That is his life,” Amit Mishra told InsideSport in an exclusive chat on Wednesday.

While BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said he “personally requested Virat Kohli not to step down from T20I captaincy”, Kohli said he never received any communication from any BCCI office-bearers.

“I was contacted one-and-a-half hours before the selection meeting on the 8th December for the Test series. There was no prior communication to me at all since I announced the T20I captaincy decision until the 8th of December, where I got a call before the selection meeting. I was never told not to give up T20I captaincy,” Virat Kohli said at a virtual Press Conference on Wednesday.

This is not the first time though. Karun Nair, Amit Mishra amongst others have also been the victims of BCCI’s lack of communication. Karun Nair was dropped and never received a call back and was left frozen after he hit out at the selectors for lack of communication.

Amit Mishara also suffered the same treatment when he was dropped from the team following an injury and could never come back after recovering. Speaking to InsideSport, Amit Mishra said, he never received a call from the selectors and his calls to BCCI honchos went unanswered.
