It is no secret that Kohli enjoys playing football, and while he was captain, the team would frequently warm up by playing a game of football. Not only Virat, but quite a few India players also try to flex their football muscles whenever they get a chance. It was no different this time around as well.
The star batter has been in excellent form lately. At Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday, India defeated Pakistan by four wickets in their 2022 T20 World Cup opening match. India eventually won the last-ball thriller thanks to Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 82 off 53 balls. India lost their first four wickets for 31 runs in 6.1 overs while chasing a 160-run mark. At this point, Kohli and Hardik Pandya put up a 113-run partnership for the fifth wicket to keep India in the game, and Kohli made sure he stayed there all the way to the end.
India will square off against the Netherlands on Thursday. The following matches for India are on October 30 against South Africa and November 2 against Bangladesh. On November 6, at Melbourne Cricket Ground, India will play their final group stage match against Zimbabwe. The title match will take place at Melbourne Cricket Ground on November 13 after the semifinal games on November 9, and 10.
