As per PTI, pinners Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj spent a considerable while in the nets, trying to hit a particular spot in what is called ‘spot bowling‘. Besides them, part-time spinner Aiden Markram also spent a long time rolling his arm over.
With this, it becomes certain that Temba Bavuma & Co. are looking to give India a taste of their very own medication, that is, the men from the rainbow nation are planning to surprise the Indians by using spin attack. KL Rahul’s team has got two world-class spinners in Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, but it will be interesting to see how his batters perform against Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj.

Tabraiz Shamsi – The World Number 1 T20I bowler
Tabraiz Shamsi is currently the world number 1 bowler in T20I cricket, and he got there on pure merit. The left-arm spinner has been scintillating in recent times. If we consider his performance in T20I cricket since 2020, he has picked up 45 wickets in 31 matches at an average of 16.7 and an even better economy rate of only 6.37 runs per over.

While he has picked up only 7 wickets in his last 8 T20I matches, his economy rate of 5.83 runs per over prove why he is such a valuable member of the Proteas’ squad.
