Kohli got some runs with his bat against Leicestershire in the 4-day warmup match. India will take on England for the fifth and the final test at Edgbaston. Against Leicestershire Kohli scored 33 runs in the first innings and then went on to hit a magnificent 67-run knock in the second innings.

Kohli looked like a man possessed to prove his point and looked comfortable with the bat. He might have gone on to score big runs in the first innings had to not been signaled out in what appeared to be a wrong decision. Kohli will be eager to find his best form again, as India will be playing against England, and then with ICC T20 World Cup on the horizon, India will be hoping its best batter to be in the finest form.

“He has seen the worst in the last couple of months. In the IPL – getting out first ball, run out, struggling for form. This is a beautiful game, cricket, – you might be a great player of your era, a legend of the game, but you have to start from zero (every time a batter comes out to bat),” Mohammad Kaif said on TOI
Sportscast.

Virat has seen the worst, but I am sure things will change very fast, very quickly (for him). I don’t think Virat has anything (left) to prove to anyone. He is a legend of the game – 8000 Test runs (8,043), 10000 ODI runs (12,311). He has been there and done that for India, so he is one of the legends (of the game) already,” Mohammad Kaif added.

“As a fan, I hope Virat comes back to form and starts winning trophies for India. Now he wants to win trophies – he wants to win the IPL trophy, he wants to win the World Cup and that’s how it should be. I know he is struggling right now for form, but he will come back. How long can Virat go without scoring hundreds for India? The form will come back. I think you will see Virat returning to form soon, in England,” Mohammad Kaif further said on TOI Sportscast.
