IND vs ENG: Good news for Team India, Prithvi Shaw & Suryakumar Yadav reach England, begin quarantine in London- The injury replacements for Washington Sundar and Shubman Gill have landed at Heathrow Airport, UK. The duo of Prithvi Shaw and SuryaKumar Yadav had left for England on Tuesday. The two superstar batsmen will now undergo a 10-day quarantine before joining the team for the last three Test matches in the five-match Test series.
The duo is likely to be released from the quarantine facility on 11th August. The second Test at Lord’s will kick off on August 12 but the duo will have to wait due to lack of practice. The two batsmen can be considered for the Leeds/ 3rd Test that will start on August 25.

Earlier, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah backed the request of the team management to have Shaw and Suryakumar join the Indian contingent in England for the five-match Test series. This came after there were doubts on whether there will be a change of plan with the duo being isolated as close contacts of Krunal Pandya in Colombo ahead of the second T20I in the Island Nation.
The BCCI had on July 26 informed that the All-India Senior Selection Committee had named Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar as replacements owing to their terrific form in limited-overs cricket over past few months.
Besides Sundar and Gill, pacer Avesh Khan has been also ruled out due to an injury.
