Samaira updates on Rohit’s health –
In a video trending on the internet and social media, Samaira is seen checking out from the team hotel. While she is departing with Rohit’s wife and mom Ritika Sajdeh, she was asked on Rohit’s health. On which she replied, “Papa (Rohit) is sleeping.”
Rohit’s cute daughter is often seen accompanying him during international tours and this was another occasion. Samaira was seen walking through the hotel passage as some of the fans spotted her and asked regarding Rohit’s health.
Rohit stays back in Leicester after testing positive for Covid-19 –
- While it may come as a setback, the Indian team management hasn’t taken any risk and put Rohit in isolation in Leicester.
- If the Indian skipper does recover in time, he will travel to Edgbaston and lead the side.
- However, in the due course to avoid any further spread of the virus, Rohit stayed back.
- Rohit was withdrawn from the team immediately after he tested positive during the warm-up match against Leicestershire and played no further part.

Mayank Agarwal called up as back-up-
The BCCI has wasted no time in naming a backup for Rohit Sharma as they asked Mayank Agarwal to join the team. Mayank has immediately boarded his flight to England and will join forces soon, once he clears all examinations.
Agarwal last played a Test in March, during the home series against Sri Lanka, but could manage just 59 runs from two matches, at an average of 19.66. He recently represented Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
