In what comes as a bit of a shock, Manchester United are willing to let Casemiro leave in January. Casemiro, 31, joined United from Real Madrid in a £70 million trade last summer. During his first season at Old Trafford, the midfielder was one of Erik ten Hag’s standout players.

This season, however, he has seen a considerable drop in form. Now, it seems as though Manchester United could be looking to cut their losses. It will be very surprising to see them sell the Brazilian just 18 months after him joining.

Manchester United to sell Casemiro?

According to TEAMtalk, Casemiro could quit the team as soon as January. Manchester United are asking £50 million for Casemiro, and Ten Hag and his crew are already scouting potential replacements.

The Brazilian is said to be open to all possibilities, with Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr among those interested in a move. Casemiro is one of 15 first-team players who could depart Manchester United this summer.

The Brazilian has failed to inspire his teammates this season. Casemiro is also thinking of leaving Manchester United and heading to Saudi Arabia. But, the United faithful could be looking to hold onto a very quality midfielder and not let him leave in the middle of the season.

Transfer overhaul incoming at United

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is planning to sack David Harrison, the director of football operations, John Murtough, and CEO Richard Arnold as per Daily Mail. This is a result of managing a string of costly acquisitions after outgoing CEO Ed Woodward left.

Manchester United has spent an astounding £1.4 billion on players in the ten years after Sir Alex Ferguson retired. Lifelong-fan Ratcliffe is shocked so much has been spent in exchange for so little success.

Old Trafford chiefs have lost millions on a number of flops throughout the years. Paul Pogba was bought at a club record £89 million. Additionally, Antony, Romelu Lukaku, Jadon Sancho, and Angel Di Maria, who are valued at £85.5 million, £75 million, £73 million, £44.5 million, and £40 million, are among the players.

Since taking over, Erik ten Hag has spent £374 million on upfront fees. Ratcliffe acknowledges that the Dutchman is well-received, though, given his third-place league performance and Carabao Cup triumph from the previous campaign. Ratcliffe and Joel Glazer, Manchester United’s co-chairman, have spoken about the football team’s organization.

Raphael Varane, his former Real Madrid teammate, is reportedly poised to leave Manchester United in January after falling out of favour with Ten Hag. Another player up for sale is Jadon Sancho, who has been exiled from the squad following a public feud with the Dutchman, while Antony is also reported to be on his way out.

If they do not sign new contracts, Victor Lindelof, Anthony Martial, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Hannibal Mejbri, Jonny Evans, and Tom Heaton will all go next summer. Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay, despite their recent strong surge, could also be transferred out.
