F1 Hungarian GP: The first free practice session (FP1) ahead of the Hungarian GP has ended and it was Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz who topped the charts by setting the fastest lap time in the whole session. He was followed by Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc in the second and third places. Meanwhile, McLaren shows great promise in the FP1 session. Carlos Sainz continued his great run of form after setting the fastest lap time in the FP1 session. Then came the reigning champion Max Verstappen who settled for the second spot followed by this year’s rival Charles Leclerc in the third position.

Meanwhile, McLaren’s Lando Norris had a great as he took home the fourth spot. He was followed by Mercedes’ George Russell as he dropped positions and settled for fifth place. Red Bull’s Sergio Perez again looked to struggle as he finished sixth overall.

The seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton had to only settle for the seventh position but he will only take the positives out of this. He was followed by McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo in the eighth spot, who had a great FP1 session after long. He is desperate for a good result under his belt.

Last year’s winner of the Hungarian GP, Esteban Ocon claimed the ninth spot as he was the driver who completed the most number of laps (30) in the session. He was followed by Fernando Alonso who took home the tenth spot.

Sebastian Vettel, who announced his retirement yesterday claimed the eleventh spot after jumping positions from the nineteenth spot. He was followed by Lance Stroll in the twelfth spot as Pierre Gasly took the thirteenth place.

Yuki Tsunoda was the next driver to follow his teammate as he settled for the fourteenth spot and was followed by Guanyu Zhou, the rookie driver of the season in the fifteenth place. William’s Alex Albon dropped positions and had to claim the sixteenth spot.

Haas’ Kevin Magnussen couldn’t do much as he settled for the seventeenth spot and was followed by teammate Mick Schumacher in the eighteenth position.

Robert Kubica, who was replacing Valtteri Bottas for the FP1 session had to settle for the nineteenth position as Nicholas Latifi once again was the last driver to finish in terms of positions as he claimed the twentieth spot.
