England Cricket Team: ECB to SCRAP ‘Bonus Scheme’ for executives, desperate to do well in the series vs West Indies
The report by Daily-Mail claims that ECB will end their culture of awarding bonuses after attracting widespread criticism for the scheme.
The contentious scheme was introduced by the ECB in 2017. According to the understanding executives for delivering their record £1.1billion TV deal with Sky Sports were to be rewarded.
CEO Tom Harrison was considered as the biggest beneficiary. He along with other senior figures are due to share a pot of £2.1million. Daily Mail has reported that the board will not sanction another round of bonuses after the five-year long-term incentive plan is paid.
