Cricket Australia invited Mitchell Johnson to an award event after panelizing two of his speaking engagements. Johnson hit backed at Cricket Australia in his latest Instagram story.
The controversy started with the column by the former Australian pacer where he said that David Warner does not deserve a farewell. A week ago, CA cancelled Johnson for passing such statements.
“Mitchell is one of Australia’s most celebrated bowlers, but we felt on this occasion it was in everyone’s best interests that he was not the guest speaker at the CA functions,’’
Johnson has slammed governing body for changing their stance so quickly as they invited him for the award show.
Warner was banned for two years in the ball tampering case. Johnson attacked Australian batter for giving a farewell in the three-match Test series against Pakistan, who was involved in wrong doing.
In the whole controversy, Warner has not spoke anything but Johnson was criticized for speaking publicly about his fellow cricketer.
