In James Anderson’s farewell Test, England’s debutant Gus Atkinson shone with a 10-wicket haul in his first match against the West Indies on Friday at Lord’s. The right-arm pacer has registered himself among the best figures by an English bowler on debut.
Atkinson picked up 12 wickets, conceding 106 runs, marking the second-best figures in a maiden Test match. He missed topping the chart by just 4 runs, as Frederick Martin took 12 wickets on debut, conceding 102 runs.
