Meanwhile, Bumrah is not a part of the tournament owing to a back injury. The veteran pacer, who was the most overworked bowler in the previous calendar year, picked up the injury during the IND vs AUS 5th Test in Sydney. As a result, India’s pace battery now comprises of Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Shami and Hardik Pandya.
Rana further said that he had learnt a lot from India bowling coach Morne Morkel. He revealed that the South African had worked with him on his line and length. When asked about the upcoming high-octane IND vs PAK clash, Harshit said that he was going to take it as a normal game. He added that every match was a pressure one when it came to playing for the country.
Harshit finished with figures of 3/31 from 7.4 overs, aptly supporting Shami who bagged a five-wicket haul. India clinched a dominating 6-wicket win against Bangladesh to start off their Champions Trophy campaign on a winning note. The Men in Blue will take on arch-rivals Pakistan next on February 23 in Dubai.
