The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been eliminated from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. After a poor start, 3 losses, the 5-time champions won 6 of the next 8 matches. However, their hopes were dashed as CSK lost 3 on the trot again and got knocked out.
CSK battled injury throughout the IPL 2026 season. From losing Nathan Ellis before the tournament began, MS Dhoni missing the entire event, Dewald Brevis missing the first three games, and losing the likes of Ayush Mhatre, Khaleel Ahmed, Jamie Overton, and Ramakrishna Ghosh during the season.
However, they still managed to remain in the playoffs contention. However, the train they built lost steam at the backend, with three convincing defeats. Ruturaj Gaikwad’s approach up top was perhaps the biggest concern for CSK outside of the injuries. We might see a few shakeups next season.
