The global Covid pandemic and cricket’s biosecurity standards forced low-key virtual presentations for two years, but the black tie gala was a star-studded extravaganza with a “blue carpet” for players and their partners for the first time since the 2020 ceremony at Melbourne’s Crown Casino. Starting at 7:30 p.m. AEDT (2:00 PM IST), 7Mate, Fox Cricket, and Kayo Sports will broadcast the awards ceremony live in Australia.
Australian Cricket Awards 2023: On a 3-2-1 basis from each match during the year, votes from players, umpires, and media representatives determined the top awards for each format. Players vote on the domestic players of the year for men and women, as well as the rising star awards. The awards will include the induction of Ian Redpath and Margaret Jennings into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame as members of the class of 2023.
