Saudi Arabia advisor and key player in the deal, Turki Alalshikh, confirmed the news first. He took to social media to publish the poster and an official confirmation and said, “FURY Vs USYK Signed! EPIC BATTLE TO TAKE PLACE AS PART OF RIYADH SEASON”.
Tyson Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, gave his thoughts on the fight. He said, “Delighted to finally get this fight signed. This is the biggest fight that could possibly be made in our sport. I have no doubt this will be the biggest boxing event of the century.”
Alex Krassyuk, who represents Oleksandr Usyk, commented, “I can’t believe that it’s happening, but it is. Respect to Tyson for his courage.”
Therefore, it appears as though the deal between the two has surprised even the promoters. Fury is currently preparing to fight Francis Ngannou on October 28th in Saudi Arabia.
