As per Floyd Mayweather, a belt won without beating a champion fighter shouldn’t be considered. To resolve it all, ‘Money’ Mayweather has revealed, launching his own world title shortly. In a chat with BetOnline, the unbeaten boxer shared several insights, including plans to introduce the new title.
Floyd Mayweather said, “If we can’t clean boxing up, it’s time for me to come up with my own belt. Only one belt’s gonna count, the belt I’m gonna come out with.”

Prior to Floyd Mayweather, Jake Paul also introduced his own belt for his Most Valuable Promotions. Needless to say, none of the boxing fans considered the MVP belt to be a legitimate one. It remains to be seen how the boxing world perceives Floyd Mayweather’s new belt.
As of now, WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO are the major governing bodies in boxing and have their respective world titles. There are also Interim belts, silver belts, and several more championships. While these historic titles have been there for years, it can be difficult to write them away instantly.

Recently Floyd Mayweather expressed his interest in signing former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. After departing from the UFC, Ngannou is yet to confirm his next professional move. He is reportedly in talks with the PFL MMA, and several other Boxing Promotions at the time.
Amidst all of it, Floyd Mayweather has also kept his door open for ‘The Predator’, especially when Dana White has confirmed doing no deals with his ex-heavyweight champion in the future.
