UP Warriorz started the bidding for Jemimah and they got involved in a bidding war with Delhi Capitals. Delhi Capitals, who hadn’t bought any players prior to that in the auction, were in desperate need to get hold of a player. Mumbai Indians then joined the bidding war but couldn’t get Jemimah as Delhi held onto the player for INR 2.2 crore.
Rodrigues, who is known for her aggressive batting style, scored 53 runs off just 38 balls. She played with determination and confidence and was instrumental in leading India to a comfortable victory. Her innings was a true display of her skills and the potential she possesses.

Jemimah has played 21 ODIs and 76 T20Is for India, scoring 394 and 1628 runs respectively in those formats. The 22-year-old had a base price of 50 Lakhs in the auction and garnered interest from multiple suitors in the WPL auction table. The talented batter will look to make the most of the given opportunity and will try to clinch the prized trophy in the inaugural edition.
