Eleven groups made up of four teams each in the first ten groups and three teams in the final group will be formed from the teams. The 11 group winners and the four best second-place teams will compete in a round-robin style at a single location to earn a spot in the AFC U23 Asian Cup Qatar 2024. The final 16 teams competing in the event, which will run from April 15 through May 3, 2024, will be made up of the qualifying countries and Qatar, the host.
The AFC U23 Asian Cup Uzbekistan 2022 rankings are used to determine the draw’s seeds. The lowest-ranked teams now include clubs that did not compete.
Bahrain, China People’s Republic, Indonesia, Jordan, Korea Republic, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam are the 11 host countries. At the start of the Draw, they will be put into the same Pot and divided into different groups. The current U23 Asian champions are Saudi Arabia, who defeated host nation Uzbekistan in the championship match last year. The U23 Asian Cup will be held in Qatar for the sixth time in 2024.
