He followed the win up with two victories against the same opponent with the last one coming inside the Hell in a Cell structure. WWE RAW: WWE Legend discusses if Cody Rhodes should immediately feud with Roman Reigns after returning
In one of the episodes of Monday Night RAW Cody made it clear that his ultimate aim is to be world champion in WWE which he has never been before. Since then, the American Nightmare has been speculated as a top bet to dethrone Roman Reigns who has the world titles wrapped around his waist for over 800 days now. The Tribal Chief has headlined two WrestleManias as the reigning champion and emerged victorious on both occasions.
Recently speaking on the Hall of Fame podcast, WWE legend Booker T discussed if Rhodes should be immediately feuding with Roman Reigns when he returns. The former world champion opined that WWE should take time to plan the feud and not put Cody in that situation right when he is back.
“I don’t know if I’d come back with it that quick. I know that’s the match that everybody wants to see. I know that’s the match that we’ve been building up to. But, I don’t know if I would want to put Cody in that situation fresh off an injury.” (h/t to Wrestling Inc.)

Rhodes has been unstoppable and a fan favorite since making a move back to WWE from AEW. However, his joy was temporarily halted as he suffered a torn pec during the feud against Seth Rollins.

He has been active on social media though and posted about his injury on his Instagram story in June 2022. Here is what he said:
