The American Nightmare returned to the WWE at WrestleMania 38 and since then he has been clear he wants to be World Champion.

Recently in an interview with Wrestling Inside the Ropes, the special counsel Paul Heyman spoke about a future rivalry between his Tribal Chief and The American Nightmare. Heyman claimed the story writes itself.
“Cody, is not only someone with, with an extensive legacy but I mean, my God, he’s the son of the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, but he has carved out his niche. He’s achieved his accomplishments. And when he couldn’t gain enough traction in WWE to become a legend, to become a first-ballot Hall of Famer, to become a WWE or universal or unified heavyweight champion, he went out on his own. He blazed his trail. He created something, co-created, and helped create something that completely changed the complexion of the industry. And now he comes back to claim what he feels is his moment. And the only way that he’s going to be able to live that moment is to step into the ring with the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. It’s a story that writes itself.”
Paul Heyman Speaks About Potential Challengers other than Cody Rhodes for Roman Reigns
For over a year now, Roman Reigns has been super dominant as the Universal Champion and has destroyed everyone in his path. Reigns has smashed almost everyone and are searching for a new challenger.
While Cody Rhodes is certainly one man who will come after Roman Reigns there are many more superstars who would like to grab the brass ring. Recently on the Wrestling Inside the Ropes podcast. Paul Heyman claimed as long as it’s box office anyone is welcomed to face The Head of the Table.
“Anybody who’s great box office. This is the business and we’re in the business to make money, to draw money, to fill arenas and stadiums. Uh, and, and if he Elon Musk colonizes Mars to do WrestleMania from another planet. So, anybody who’s great box office, I want them in the ring with the tribal chief Roman Reigns.”
Roman Reigns according to his new contract is on a lighter schedule, it will be interesting how WWE works according to Roman and also keep the interest of the audience.
