Another exciting episode of the Ultimate Fighter Series started where UFC President Dana White was recapping the drama from the previous episode. Trevor Wells was removed from his bantamweight fight against Timur Valiev due to a facial rash. Following medical clearance to fight, the only hurdle is that both fighters have already undergone weight cuts two weeks before.
As we saw in the promo’s, Team McGregor continued to struggle with a 0-3 record in the Ultimate Fighter Series, so the Irish fighter brought in a heavyweight in the striking game to turn things around. Former welterweight title challenger, Stephen Thompson, was there to show McGregor’s team how to throw punches and improve their striking skills. And both the fighters made the weight cut successfully.
Team Conor McGregor lost once again
The fight between Valiev and Wells in the Ultimate Fighter Series was a close one, with Valiev landing some hard leg kicks and taking Wells to the floor. Wells defended himself well, but Valiev scored points for control. In the second round, Wells attempted to come back with heavy leg kicks and took Valiev to the cage, but Valiev emerged on top and rained down blows. Wells managed to get top position but was unable to finish before time expired. Valiev won the fight with a score of 10-9 in both rounds.
Coach Chandler and his team of experienced UFC fighters have won all four fights, leaving Coach McGregor’s team without a victory in the Ultimate Fighter Series. The upcoming matches in the Ultimate Fighter Series will be intriguing to see if McGregor’s team can bounce back and secure a win or if Chandler’s team will continue their winning streak and leave McGregor with no victories.
