Roger Federer Laver CUP – Federer Tsitsipas Selfie: The magic and charm of Roger Federer has bugged the fans and tennis fraternity alike. Federer has started practising for Laver Cup at O2 Arena in London. And his practice partner on Tuesday Stefanos Tsitsipas had a very special request for the TENNIS LEGEND. Federer Tsitsipas Selfie: Federer obliged and took a selfie first with Tsitsipas and than the former Swedish world number one, 11 time grand slam winner and captain of team Europe, Bjorn Borg also joined the fun. A session ended with the trio taking a selfie.

 

 

“You have the big four (Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray) it’s very special for Tennis in general – probably the last time they’ll play together. I’m happy to be part of this history,” Borg was quoted by the Laver Cup social media team.

Both Rafael Nadal & Novak Djokovi also met Federer during the practise and gave him a WARM HUG. Even though it was expected for some time, Federer took over the Tennis and the sports world by surprise when he made the announcement of his retirement last week.

 

 

Tributes from across the world have since poured in and come the Laver Cup, all the eyes will be on the 20 time grand slam winner whose career spanned across four decades.

Federer, who has won 20 Grand Slam titles including a record eight Wimbledon championships, will retire aftee the Laver Cup this weekend.

“It’s been an emotional few weeks to go through those words to try to get them right, that they reflect how I’m feeling and thanking all the people who have helped along the way.

“I always pushed my retirement thoughts away.

“I said, the more I think about it, the more I’m already halfway retired and this is not the way to go to work, you know, for me as a tennis player, so we’ll deal with it when it comes.

“And it did. And I dealt with it.”
