Garcia left Eddy Reynoso’s camp after the two accused each other of lacking work ethics. Ryan Garcia joined forces with Joe Gooseman and continued his flawless pro-run. However, Garcia’s unbeaten run came to an end with Gervonta Davis knocking out the youngster in the 7th round of their recent fight.

Eddy Reynoso analyzed the bout and explained where Ryan Garcia went wrong against Gervonta Davis.

He said, “I think Ryan [Garcia] could have given a better performance from what we had worked together in the gym during our time. He learned on using the left hand, good footwork and maintaining his distance.”

Meanwhile, Ryan Garcia has reportedly split ways with his recent trainer Joe Gooseman. Now that he can look for a new coach, Eddy Reynoso is open to taking back ‘KingRy’

Reynoso said, “Yes doors are open [For Ryan Garcia]. I am a professional. It’s my job to prepare fighters for battle and I will train any fighter. We will just have to take notes and make sure it’s beneficial for both.”

That said, Canelo lost his second pro-bout against Dmitry Bivol in May 2022, which urged several people to demean him. Canelo has also been criticized for not accepting a clash against fellow Mexican David Benavidez.

Hence, Alvarez needs to register a commendable performance against John Ryder or else he may fall on to the clutches of his critics once again.
