Coming into bat after the fall of Faf du Plessis’ wicket, Karthik rekindled memories of his Nidhahas Trophy heroics, scoring 32 off just 14 balls, dishing out harsh treatment o the inexperienced Punjab attack to take his team past the 200-run mark.

Karthik dabbled at commentary during India’s tour of England and was an instant hit in the Sky Sports studio, and has also made appearances at Cricbuzz and Star Sports in the following months.
