Thanks to this partnership that spanned across nearly 12 overs and accumulated 110 runs in the process, Punjab Kings put up a competitive total of 187 runs for Chennai to chase down.
Interestingly, this was a crucial knock for both players, given that they had not done well in their recent fixtures. Dhawan scored only 17 runs in the two fixtures before this game, while Rajapaksa scored 9 runs in his last outing.
