The final set saw Zverev dominating the Greek with his A-game as he took the final set 6-2 to enter the finals. He will now face Carlos Alcaraz Garfia who defeated Rafael Nadal and World No.1 Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively.

Tsitsipas had earlier defeated Zverev 6-4, 6-2 to win the clay court ATP event Monte Carlo final. Thus, the German avenged his defeat against Greek tennis superpower.
