The Argentina jersey bore the name of Lionel Messi with his famous number 10 printed on the back. The message on the jersey wrote, ” Para Jay Shah (for Jay Shah)” signed personally by the World Cup winner. To note, Lionel Messi finally won the biggest prize in soccer as Argentina recently beat France 4-2 in a penalty shootout to claim a third World Cup title despite Kylian Mbappé scoring the first hat trick in a final in 56 years.
Meanwhile, BCCI secretary Jay Shah on Friday reached to Kochi where the IPL mini-auction is being conducted. Shah also visited a prospective land where Kochi could have its first own cricket stadium. It must be noted that the cricket matches in Kochi to date were being contested at the multi-purpose Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The stadium is also home to the Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League (ISL).
As per a report by the Times of India, Jay Shah visited the prospective 30-acre site, which is located along the highway only a few kilometers from the Kochi International airport. The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) will handle the construction of the stadium and will approach the government for further orders. KCA president Jayesh George told TOI.
