City are unbeaten in 14 Premier League games and are 12 points clear of Liverpool at the top, at least until tomorrow when the Reds face Leicester City. Next up for them is a trip to Norwich City. Brentford have lost their last five league games on the bounce, and they’ll be hoping to turn things around when they host Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Scorers: Mahrez 40′, de Bruyne 69′; Man City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 12 points with a comfortable win over Brentford.
Manchester City’s early dominance paid off when they took the lead through a Riyad Mahrez penalty, expertly dispatched into the top corner after Raheem Sterling was brought down in the box.
The league leaders doubled their lead after a calamitous error by David Raya who gifted the ball to Sterling. Raya saved the initial opportunity but the rebound fell to Kevin de Bruyne who cooly stroked the ball home.
