One doesn’t see Gujarat Giants captain Fazel Atrachli raid a lot in Pro Kabaddi these days. It’s understandable too, since the Iranian is a heavy-duty defender, and raiding opportunities don’t come his way in plenty. But when it does, he surely makes a mark. In the Gujarat Giants vs U Mumba PKL 2023 match on Tuesday, in his 100th match as skipper, Fazel, surprisingly, went on three raids, and two of those were empty.
Come the third, he got his first raid point, just instilling the fear of his brute strength, in the opposition. In the first half, in a do-or-die raid, Fazel was up against a defence of five. He started his raid on the right flank and moved towards the left slowly. From there, Surinder Singh went to tackle him but was thrown on the floor by Fazel. From there on, he just walked back into his half, without a worry in the world.

Gujarat Giants vs U Mumba in PKL 2023
The Pro Kabaddi 2023 match between Gujarat and Mumba went in favour of the hosts. They won the match 39-37 narrowly, making it their third in a row. Sony Jaglan, the newest raiding sensation in Pro Kabaddi, scored a super 10 once again and was a major factor in tilting the match in favour of Gujarat. Guman Singh got 10 points for U Mumba, but that wasn’t enough to save them from a defeat.
