Pro Kabaddi League Retained List: PKL 9 Retained List – With the new Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 just round the corner, the League has officially announced the players that the teams have retained. Players have been categorized into three different categories namely, ‘Elite Retained Players’, ‘Retained Young Players’, and ‘New Young Players.’ Others like superstars Pawan Sehrawat and Pardeep Narwal are scheduled to be auctioned, when they will all go under the hammer on 5-6th August 2022. A grand total of 111 players have been retained by the teams ahead of the auction in these three different categories. 19 players have been slotted in the Elite Retained Players List, 13 individuals are included in the Retained Young Players list while the remaining 38 players are in the New Young Players category. Moreover, 41 New Young Players have been nominated by all the teams.
The non-retained players will go under the hammer, when the Auction of PKL 9 takes place in Mumbai on 5-6th August 2022. Superstars like Pawan Sehrawat and Pardeep Narwal who have not been retained will highlight the much-anticipated auctions. Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh is the only foreigner to have been retained.

Anupam Goswami, CEO, Sports League, Disney Star India and League Commissioner, VIVO Pro Kabaddi League said, “Some of the star performers of VIVO Pro Kabaddi have a fan following across the country and we believe that this auction will witness some interesting bidding wars. This will lead to creation of new team squads and an increased level of competition in the upcoming season 9.”
