Timeline of the unfortunate Sudharsan moment – On the final ball of the 16th over, a slower delivery from Pollard was held into the surface as Sai Sudharsan went hard on the pull shot and connected with thin air as the ball bounced over the edge. The bottom hand came off the bat handle but Sai Sudharsan kept pivoting. Sai was seen off-balance as well and clattered the stumps with his bat.
13th player to be dismissed Hit-Wicket – The list of unfortunate honours contains a string of big names like Yuvraj Singh and David Warner, while Jonny Bairstow was the last player to be dismissed hit-wicket in last year’s edition. On four occasion have Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) been on the receiving end of the hit-wicket. GT have also got their name in the list in their first season as the latest inductee.

Hard pill to swallow for Sai and GT after crushing defeat– The occasion turned out to be a hard pill to swallow for Sai Sudharsan and GT as they lost a tight contest to MI. The match went down to the final ball as Sai’s 14 runs off 11 deliveries proved to be of no use. The defeat now means that MI have won back-to-back matches while GT were unable to take a giant step towards the playoffs.
