IPL 2022 Auction: Apart from being a cricket sport, IPL is considered a competition that deals in money. That’s the reason, some players like Manish Pandey, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone and T Natarajan amongst others who have played it smart reducing their base price. The IPL 2022 Mega Auction is scheduled to take place in Bangalore on 12th and 13th February while the main competition is tentatively scheduled to commence from the last week of March. A grand total of 1214 players have registered for the tournament of which 896 are Indians while 318 are overseas players. We take a look at some players who have reduced their prices to attract offers from different teams.

Jonny Bairstow: The 32-year-old wicketkeeping batter reduced his base price to 1.5 Cr, after he was previously sold for 2.20 Cr in what appears to be a highly clever move for the player. In IPL 2021 he scored 248 runs in just 7 innings with a high average of 41.33. His reduced base price will surely attract offers from all the teams.

Manish Pandey: Manish Pandey having had a previous salary of 11 Cr, played a clever move to keep a low base price of just 1 Cr. The Indian batter registered 292 runs in 8 innings with a high average of 48.66. Teams would be eager to acquire his services for IPL 2022.

Liam Livingstone: The English all-rounder can be an excellent and clever pick in IPL 2022 Mega Auction. With a cheap base price of just 1Cr, teams would be eager to acquire the player who would be a great addition both in terms of batting and bowling for the squad.

With the IPL 2022 Mega Auctions drawing near, the 10 IPL franchise teams would be eager to pick the player at his base price. 

T Natarajan: Natarajan can be a surprise pick at a low price for a fast bowler. In his short stint at IPL, he has already picked 20 wickets in 24 games. A team that prefers to strengthen their bowling prowess can pick the player at his base price very cleverly.
