- Odean Smith PBKS Hero vs RCB: PBKS all-rounder Odean Smith emerged as the hero against RCB. He did not have a great outing with the ball in hand. Smith was taken to cleaners by Faf du Plessis and Dinesh Karthik. The big-hitting all-rounder gave 52 runs in his 4 overs. However, he had a chance to redeem himself with the bat in hand. PBKS required 50 runs in four overs.
Smith walked in and changed the complexion of the game completely. He scored 25 runs off 8 balls and helped PBKS chase a steep target of 206.

- Lalit Yadav for Delhi Capitals vs MI
DC all-rounder Lalit Yadav swung the match in favor of his team against MI. At one stage in the match, DC were down and out when they lost half the side for just 72 runs in a run-chase of 178. Lalit Yadav, who walked in at number 5 though did not lose hope. He kept taking the singles and also dispatched the loose balls away to boundaries.
He kept DC in the hunt and finished the job with 10 balls to spare. The southpaw remained unbeaten on 48 off just 38 balls. He scored 4 boundaries 2 sixes.
- Umesh Yadav for KKR vs CSK
KKR pace bowler Umesh Yadav turned the clock by making the ball nip around CSK. He dismissed last season’s IPL orange cap holder Ruturaj Gaikwad for a duck. Later, he also prised out Devon Conway. His fiery spell at the top didn’t give CSK batters any sort of momentum in the innings.
Umesh only gave 20 runs in his 4 overs and was also declared the player of the match.
