- Hooda made his ODI debut against West Indies and scored unbeaten 26 runs. The Men in Blue won the game by six wickets.
- In the second ODI, the 27-year-old scored 29 runs and picked up one wicket. India won the match by 44 runs.
- India then went on a tour to West Indies. In the first game, Hooda scored 27 as the Rohit Sharma-led side won by 3 runs.
- India sealed the three-match ODI series in the second game as the all-rounder 33 runs and picked up one. They beat West Indies by two wickets.
- In the last ODI, the 27-year-old did not come to bat as the visitors won by 119 runs.

- Hooda made his T20I debut against Sir Lanka but did not get to bat in two games. India won both games by 62 runs and 7 wickets respectively.
- In the third game, the all-rounder got to bat he scored 21 runs as India whitewashed Sri Lanka and won the match by 6 wickets.
- India then went to Ireland and Hooda scored 47 and 104 in two T20Is as the visitors won by 7 and 4 runs.
- Hooda played one T20I against England and scored 33 runs as India thumped by 50 runs.
- The all-rounder later played three T20Is against West Indies and scored 10, 21, and 38. The Rohit Sharma-led side won three games by 7 wickets, 59 runs, and 88 runs.
