Bengaluru 5th T20 LIVE – Rishabh Pant WIDE Ball TRAP: In the 22 T20 innings this year, Rishabh Pant has been dismissed 10 times off wide deliveries.
The Indian captain has had a more torrid time against South Africa. He has been dismissed in a similar fashion in all four games of the series, and will need to buckle up ahead of the series decider later today.
Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar slammed Pant for being reckless after his dismissal in Rajkot, where he was dismissed for a 22-ball 17.
Gavaskar claimed that Paint “hasn’t learnt from his mistakes” and it was not a good sign from an Indian captain.

The offside trap has worked like a charm against Rishabh Pant, who struggled for runs in the IPL 2022 season as well.
The 24-year-old has now scored 57 runs at an average of 14.25 and a strike rate of 105.55 this series heading into the decider.
Bowlers have restricted bowling into his stronger areas and have bowled wider lines which has seen a drastic change in results.

- The number has dropped to 29.6% this year.
- The corresponding figures for a wide outside the off stump line saw a rise from 9.7% to 14.3%.

The 24-year-old admitted that he would look to improve in the post-match presentation at Rajkot. Gavaskar and Indian fans would hope that the results reflect starting today in Bengaluru.
