Veteran India keeper Dinesh Karthik put on a show in the nets further exerting his claim as the first choice keeper in the side. Facing the likes of Chetan Sakariya, Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammad Shami in the nets, Karthik showcased his range of strokes through both sides of the wicket.
The 37-year-old on occasion down the wicket and looked comfortable dealing with the extra bounce on the tracks here in Australia. He also brandished an array of innotivatie shots, scooping the fast bowlers over the keeper’s head.

The scoop eventually meant his downfall as Mohammad Shami castled the veteran with a pinpoint delivery at the stumps. Shami’s bowling will be a huge positive for India with the Bengal-born pacer being handed the responsibility of replacing Jasprit Bumrah.

The 37-year-old who iss more than a decade senior to his competitor Pant, threw balls at the young left-hander suggesting him catching techniques and helping him stump more effectively.
